Young's Modulus - AH Project
Complete set of equipment for doing a variety of Young’s Modulus Investigations.
Kit contains a pair of knife edge supports for the Simply Supported version and a double clamp for the cantilever arrangement. Both of these have built in holders for a reference bar to allow measurement of the deflection under load. Built in levelling system for Simply supported version, all samples have a strategic hole to allow a screw in hanging hoop to attatch the load. Both arrangements can be used with either a travelling microscope, vernier calipers or even just a ruler.
Kit contains 9 different test objects which can be combined into 4 different sets for different comparisons.
3 flat bars with the same dimensions but made from different materials (Brass, Aluminium & Mild Steel)
3 flat bars with the same material and thickness but different widths
3 flat bars with the same mateiral and width but different thicknesses
3 samples with the same mass and material but with different shapes (rod, pipe, U beam)
