Mystery Circuit Boxes

from £30.00
sale

This is a set of 12 wooden boxes that have unknown circuits concealed inside them.

Pupils are asked to play the role of electrician and use a simple conductivity testing circuit of a battery and bulb to work out how the different wires are actually connected inside.

  • Each box has 10 coloured wires allowing for many possible combinations and there are 6 different circuits for pupils to solve.

  • The set of 12 allows for a class of 20 pupils to work through them with a couple of spares to minimise any time spent waiting.

  • This is a great easy to differentiate task that pupils find surprisingly engaging as the wiring often catches out assumptions the pupils make.

  • Solutions and pupil template available here in photos.

  • Full class set fits comfortable in standard racking trays and each one is a good size for handling.
