The kit allows you to crush balloons either manually or with stacks of masses.

single - balloon bursts with just the 3N of force from the top block’s weight
2 cm spacing - a surprising force is needed of roughly 20-25N which is an impressive stack of 100g masses
1 cm Spacing - the area the force is spread over has doubled (roughly) so you need a force of up to 50N!
The top block also acts as a safety mechanism that allows you to manually crush a balloon with flat hands on top.
Kit includes a starter pack of 15 5 inch clear latex balloons which is enough for 5 demos. Replacement balloons are affordable and widely available.
